SLC 4000
Minimize

The SLC4000 and SLC4000-19 are capable of controlling any resistive load such as ordinary tungsten lighting and any inductive load such as neon, pinspots and motorised effects in any combination.

A chaser function provides sequenced patterns of the 4 output channels, additionally a sound-to-light function that separates the audio signal into 4 audio bands.

LED channel indicators are provided on the front panel, one LED for Standby/Go indication, one LED for mains On indication plus one monitor LED per channel.

The sound-to-light function needs no controls. The SLC4000 has fully automatic sound-to-light circuits with a master Automatic Volume Control (AVC) circuit to adjust for overall changes in the music volume, and, in addition to this, one AVC circuit for each audio band adjusts for changes in the level between, for example, the bass and treble.

A standby/go switch provides a standby mode. During this mode the monitor LEDs stay working so a particular pattern may be selected before the lights are enabled. In addition a remote control standard 1/4" mono jack accepts low voltage signals from another controller to switch the unit between standby and go; the standby/go switch on the front panel overrides this input.

Pattern select switches allow the selection of a particular pattern or allows the unit to auto-change the pattern after a number of chase steps. A direction select switch is used to select forward or reverse or allow the unit to auto-change direction.

A constant speed or bass burst switch allows an audio input to give ‘bass burst’ chases, where the chase steps for the duration of the bass beat. The number of chase steps per beat depends upon the setting of the Speed control. In constant speed mode the unit allows control between approximately 1 step per second at MIN, to approximately 50 steps per second at MAX.

The SLC units require a mains supply of 100-240V, 50-60Hz (self adjusting). The maximum load is 15 Amps maximum which will depend on load connected.

An audio input is connected to the unit via a standard 1/4" stereo jack socket, this accepts signals from your sound system. On the SCL4000 (floor-standing) unit, connection to the output loads is made by a Bulgin P552 socket using Pulsar standard multiway leads or the P551 plug provided; whilst the SLC4000-19 (19" Rack) model uses 4 standard IEC sockets for connections to the output loads.
