Poland’s national television station, TVP operates from a vast facility close to the centre of Warsaw and boasts one of the largest high definition studios in Europe. TVP has been a long time customer of Polish lighting distributors LTT and so when Head of Lighting at TVP Bogdan Staszewski contacted Pawel Mrozinski of LTT, requesting assistance in the search of high quality, IP65, colour changing LED battens.
The IP65 rating was an essential factor as TVP saw potential for the product to be used on outdoor locations as well as their high definition studio facilities in Warsaw. Another criterion was the requirement for the batten to produce dynamic effects as well as flicker free subtle hues for washing cycs.
LTT demonstrated the Pulsar ChromaBank IP and it quickly proved to be the preferred choice of TVP. To date, they have taken delivery of 150 Chromabank IPs. TVP lighting director Andrzej Jakubowski quickly made use of them on the popular show “Made in Poland” where 60 ChromaBanks were used around the perimeter of the studio set.
The popularity of the ChromaBank IPs has led to a demand for other LED fixtures and again TVP have favoured IP65 rated products for maximum flexibility and because of their major advancements in ‘Tri-Colour’ technology Pulsar have recently supplied 110 ChromaFlood 200TCs through their exclusive Polish distributor LTT.
Bogdan Staszewski explained “we wanted a true flicker free flood fixture with the same stable and flexible software as the ChromaBanks as both fixtures will work well together in the studio environment. LTT presented the Pulsar ChromaFlood 200TC which met all our criteria.”
The ChromaFlood 200TCs made their first studio appearance in the lavish Polish production “Song for Eurovision” with the entire backdrop of the set being washed with LED colour. Subsequent users of Pulsar product have included the shows ‘Coffee or Tea” and “Hit Generator”.
